SBA Loan Guidance
Small businesses (defined as 500 employees or less), account for over 90% of the jobs in the United States. The Small Business Administration is the part of the Federal Government that works with current or prospective small business owners in getting funding to start or grow their business, assistance with developing a business plan, or getting a minority or veteran-owned business certification. They can also help you become a government vendor.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville is a branch of the Small Business Administration with experienced business counselors that will help you start or grow your business. Both the SBA and UNF SBDC are funded through federal taxpayer dollars, so services are provided at either no cost or with a nominal charge to the small business owner.
We are virtual consultants to the SBDC at the University of South Florida for those in the Tampa/St. Petersburg Florida area.
